Bihar Home Guard : Selection Process 2025
Physical Test:
Candidates who pass the written examination will have to undergo Physical Efficiency Test.
Physical fitness and physical parameters will be tested in this stage.
Written Exam:
Candidates will have to first appear for a written exam.
After being successful in the written exam, they will be included in the next process of selection.
Merit List and Final Selection:
The final selection will be done according to this list. The merit list will be prepared on the basis of performance in both the exams.
Bihar Home Guard District wise Vacancy Details 2025
The main function of the Home Guard is to maintain security and law and order. They are associates of the state police force
and are deployed in special circumstances when required. Apart from this, their role is also important in natural disasters like
floods, earthquakes and other emergencies. Home Guard jawans are also given social service as well as security training, so that
they can work efficiently in various emergency situations. The Bihar government has taken several steps towards modernizing the
Home Defense Corps organization. Along with the new recruitment, a plan has been made to equip the jawans with advanced training
and modern equipment. For this, the government had sent a proposal to the Home Department for 7276 new posts, after which this
